Due to the many subgroups and diverse works of art it is difficult to generalize about the Ibo art style. Masking is one of the most common art forms however, bronze castings, copper objects and elaborate castings of leaded bronze have been found as far back as the 19th Century and constitutes the earliest sculptures found in Igboland.
