Description
The Canadian Platinum Maple Leaf was introduced by the Royal Canadian Mint in 1988. Each coin is 99.95% pure. The obverse features the bust of Queen Elizabeth II. Her name appears at top while the denomination and year of issue are below. The reverse depicts a Maple Leaf, the national symbol of Canada, in addition to the dollar amount and purity which are guaranteed by the Canadian Government.
