Antoninus Pius- Titus Aurelius Fulvus Boinius Arrius Antoninus was born at Lanuvium in AD 86. He was adopted by Hadrian as his heir on February 25, 138. His wife was Faustina Senior. Their daughter was Faustina Junior. His adoptive sons and heirs were Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Versus. The history of his Reign, which last nearly 23 years is almost a blank in the records, owing to the tranquility and prosperity which the Roman world enjoyed under his patient; judicious and impartial rule. He dies in AD 161 at age 74 of natural causes.
