“Goddess Durga”

Durga, also called Devine Mother, is the Goddess representing self-knowledge, strength, and divine motherhood. She is the wife of Shiva, and is the Shakti or female energy, through which divinity manifests. Durga rides a tiger and has eight arms, each holding a weapon, representing the strength with which she protects her children. She represents the ideal motherly love and fights for righteousness.
